Safari Co. won the contract for the construction of King Abdullah International Airport at Jazan Safari Co. has recently won a contract for the construction of King Abdullah International Airport at Jazan; one of the most vital projects in the region located at the extreme Southwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a capacity exceeding 2.4 million passengers/year. The new Airport consists of three stories, one for departures, one for arrivals and another for baggage receiving. The first stage of this project includes construction of ten movable bridges for the direct transfer of passengers from the airport to the plane. The airport has been designed to the highest international standards for the construction of modern airports. It also includes free markets, restaurants and cafes, besides the ability to receive big aircrafts. It is noteworthy that Safari Co. will carry out all construction works for this giant project through its contracting branch. On this occasion, Shaikh. Saleh Bin Ali Al Sagri, Chairman of Safari Group, declared that “the construction of this airport, which bears a dear name to all Saudi citizen, is considered one of the significant projects which would serve all inhabitants & visitors of the Southern Region and that Safari always endeavors to perform its national duty through participation in such giant projects”.
